Out of the whole cast of Marimite, these three are my faves. Of course, Youko-sama is my top fave among them(the one in the middle)! Followed by Sei-sama (blond) then Eriko-sama. They are so cool *o*

Once every blue moon, I draw in a style that is completely different than my usual pieces. When or why they come out usually vary in reason, but for this particualr art, it was because I was getting all pissed at Painter 9 for closing on me (notice broad and messy lines)… when I was in the middle of drawing something I was really into. (*bops self for not saving sooner*)

anyway, i basically ended up enjoying drawing this. had even more fun coloring the skin and i also tried adding a colored light, to give it a little kick. i prolly wont finish it anymore… if i gave it more detail and attention, it might lose the spirit of the spur-of-the-moment feel. did not bother to check on the anatomy, so expect some mistakes especially in the arms and the sides of his abdomen.

lastly… i hope i didnt scare anyone by drawing a buff and unshaven man. (i personally get a little grossed by these types, especially when their sweat glands go into overdrive) ^_^;

Thats not the real count, of course… but i must’ve done so many redesigns of my orginal character, Asami, that I’ve lost track already. What do you expect, I made the character around 12 years ago.

This is a Rough portrait of her most recent design (recent as a few minutes ago). oh, yes i said *her*. Asami is a GIRL. I’m still trying to find a way to make her slightly more feminine w/o making her too girly.

I like her hair here… her skin is so-so… im having difficulty adding a colored light source on the skin, without making it look like someone threw paint at her. but since this is just a rough, the coloring should do fine for now.

obviously, judging by her face, she’s a sad character. she reeks angst… im opting to add more happiness, as soon as i figure out how. her eyes are amber… maybe they glow in the dark? :P

lastly, she still doesnt have a stable story (AFTER 12 YEARS! HOW SAD.)

Yet another attempt at Painter 9. I think its ok, as far as improvement goes, but still a far cry from what other artists can do with the program. Oh and I wussed out on the BG @_@ Nyargh, I always do. *bops self*

One of my first attempts at Painter 9. I’m pretty happy how Geki came out but I definitely need more practice. I’m liking the messy yet messy-in-place coloring style. And look! I didn’t do monochromatic shading! I’m so proud ^_^ I should do more of that as well… try and break my usual style and risk the weird colors.
